Events in Rome in 2015
In the beginning of spring in the centre of Rome the ‘Mostra delle Azalee’ will be held. At the ‘Mostra delle Azalee’ the famous Spanish Steps will be dressed up with over 3000 vases of azeleas (pink, red, white) which gives a vibrant and lively look to the steps. This event will be held around March but the dates are not confirmed yet.
If you are into sports especially jogging then the prefect program for you is the Rome Marathon. The Rome Marathon has a long history and it has been held for several years now. This year the Rome Marathon will be on 22nd March in 2015.
One of the most popular events in Rome at Easter is the ‘Procession of the Cross’ which is about the last walk of Jesus to the Mt Golgotha. The event will be on 3rd April 2015.
Some time in October (the dates are not confirmed) the Rome International Film Festival the real red carpet event takes place in the city. At the festival you can check out the newest international premiers, documentaries, live shows, exhibitions and various concerts as well.
In the end of the year when Christmas is just around the corner the different and various Christmas markets appear in the city. In Rome the Christmas markets open in the end of November and they are open until the end of December or the beginning of January like in the other big European cities.
Apart from the great festivals, events and markets Rome also gives home to some of the best concerts as well. During 2015 visitors can attend the most famous musicians and bands concerts such as Ed Sheeran, Toto, Muse, Eros Ramazzotti, Nickelback, Deep Purple, Simply Red and so on.
